After 5 months of marriage I left my marital home due to torture by husband and in laws....now I put judicial separation and maintenance case on him ...problem is I have left my belongings/sreeedhan like home appliances,clothes,steel vessels in their house .....how can I get back my belongings ??

A.Dear Madam,
You may file a application under Section 25 of Hindu Marriage Act or go to Police Station and lodge a complaint under Section 406 of IPC.

A.Hello Client,


1. You simply ask them to return back all your belongings. if they deny then,
2. You may Lodge an F.I.R. against your husband and in-laws under section 498A, Domestic Violence and for dowry to your local Police Station. afterwards, the Police will recover all your belongings.

Because they have done cruelty to you, you must lodge a complaint against them to your local Police station.

After one year you may also file for Divorce.
