Hi. We rented our newly built 2 bhk house for 8000 and 50000 advance. The tenant request they need to receive advance amount from previous owner so will give only 20k advance now and remaining in 10 days time. But they did not. After nearly 2 month another 20k advance given and remaining 10k pending. Occupied house on sep 15. Only 1.5 month rent given and 3 months rent unpaid. Everytime they promise a date but will not vacate. We went to police but police said they can't help on this matter and asked us to get in written that they will vacate in particular date. Now I have a signed letter from tenant that they will vacate on 30jan 2023. Incase of they do not vacate and what is the next steps i need to do. Should I go to police again ? I am planning to lock the house, if I do that will any action taken against me. Please suggest. 3 people are staying. Retired husband and wife and the ladys brother.
