Grandfather property Grandfather property

It's my maternal grandfather property. Need to change the property documents to my name. As I am the only descendant alive,my mother, grandparents and uncle passed away - have death certificate for all except one. So two queries. 1. I don't have death certificate of one uncle who passed away and I don't have any details of him( as it happened before me born). 2. How I should apply legal heir.

A.Dear Sir,
U may go for Succession Certificate under Section 376 of Hindu Succession Act, but it is time consuming. Better to manage by swearing an Affidavit before Notary in respect of family tree which may be accepted by the concerned authorities.

A.Hello sir,
In the case of a self-acquired property which is bought by self-earnings, a granddaughter cannot claim rights. But, in the case, when the property is ancestral, that has been possessed by at least four generations, a granddaughter can claim her rights.
Thank you
