Name removal from registration

Me and boyfriend had bought a property in joint name. However I had changed my name prior to marriage in gazette copy. However I married someone else and now I want to remove my name from the property and also change my surname to the current married one. Please advice

A.if its a residential flat, ask your boyfriend to buy your part of the share in the property. If it's a land, then file a partition suit in the court.
