Dear team
i m residing at mumbai since 1979 in my ancestor home which is co op housing society. the agreement is of 1979, during year 1979 stamp duty on my agreement was rs 10 adhesive stamp.
now the society is planning for redevelopment and is in talks with developer.

my query is do i need to pay stamp duty now, and if yes how much stamp duty to be paid, as it is a old building of year 1979.

A.Dear Client,
Stamp duty does not have to be paid for resale of old properties. However, please check with a local advocate who will be aware of the rules in your place of stay.
