Paid extra amount on stamp duty and the registration fee compared to existing rates the difference amount can be refundable? The sale deed is not canceled only paid more amount by mistake

A.Dear Sir,
You may file a representation before the concerned Sub-Registrar if rejected on any ground then you may refer appeal before the District Registrar or concerned Higher Authorities and thus you may get back your excess amount which was paid by you by mistake. It will go on the concept that “nobody can enrich at the cost of other person”.

Thanks, M Advocate in Goa has taken the refund of stamp duty after cancellation

A.Dear Client,

The buyer of the property can get a refund of 98% of the stamp duty if an application is made for a refund of the stamp duty. With the refund application, you are required to attach the original agreement, as well as the original cancellation deed, with both the documents being registered.
