Booking Amount Refund Booking Amount Refund

I have booked a flat worth 96 lacs with a booking amount of INR 51,000. Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I cancelled the booking. There was no builder-buyer agreement done. I have just signed a form which mentions cancellation as per RERA norms. Now the builder is saying that the booking amount would be forfeited. How can I claim the amount? What are my options here?

A.Dear Sir,
Normally they have to deduct 10% of the booking amount. You may get issue a legal notice and threaten to go to media and see that no one can book with them. Then the builders may come down and compromise .

A.Dear client,

You may seek relief from the RERA authority or consumer forum to legally get the booking amount back.
