Regarding property issue

We got farm land from our ancestors that 1acre 14gunta. in that some third person saying it belongs to him as he saying he used property from 4 to 5 years. but now he is allegating that he used from 12years. i will becom owner for that property. but we got from our ancestors. now we took caveat in court. and now next what we have to do to save our property from that third party who farming land from 4 to 5 years. and how can we prove he is farming from only 5 years? and what documents we have to submit for showing that we only farming since ancestors? please clarify what documents we have to submit.
