Compound Wall Construction
We plan to construct a compound wall near the village panchayat street road. The street road is the boundary of our area. We plan to construct as per the FMB Map, but the village people, including the village panchayat head, asked us to leave one feet along the street side and they forced us to stop the construction. Kindly suggest to me is there is any rule regarding the construction of a compound wall near the street, stating that we need to leave one feet along the street side
A.Dear Client,
When the local Panchayet is the Civic Authority that takes care of the public road, water supply, drains, and other common civic amenities, their objection to your construction might have some reasonable ground. If there is no anomalies or irregularities in the Field Measurement Book which was surveyed by the Surveyor of the Tahasildar office where FMB is kept, you may report such objection from Panchayet Head to Tahasildar for a further survey of property that requires the construction of compound or boundary wall in presence of Panchayet Head so that matter or dispute may be resolved amicably. failing which you need to consult with an Advocate for guidance and steps to be taken under relevant law to obtain relief in the matter.

A.Dear client,
There is law in respect of right, title and interest of any immovable property and the owner thereof is free to do anything on his own land, but certainly not on land belonging to others, nor by doing any thing on his own land, which may cause real disturbance to the neighbours in the enjoyment of neighbour’s own property.
Any disputes in this regard can be dealt with and settled and decided by a court of competent jurisdiction in an appropriate proceeding.
