Property - father had two wives both deceased Property - father had two wives both deceased

Respected sir, my question is that my father had two wifes both deceased. And I belong to first wife, but my father deeded 5 acres of land to second wife in 1980. So my question is whether I will get share in other mother's property

A.Dear Client,
If the property of your father is an ancestral property, as per Hindu Law of inheritance, the son of the first wife being a Class -1 heir, can seek partition by filing a partition suit to obtain his share out of the share of his deceased mother as well as father and not beyond that. The father can settle his entire self-acquired properties in favor of his second wife or her children born out of the second marriage without allotting any share to the son of his first wife, but your father cannot do that in case of ancestral property. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
