A.Dear Client,
The adopted son is generally entitled to the same rights as a biological son in terms of inheritance, especially if the adoption is legally recognized. The Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956, governs adoption among Hindus in India. If the adopted son has a legitimate claim to the ancestral property, he could potentially challenge the sale of the property.

A.Dear Client,
As per the law of inheritance, a legal heir has the right to claim a share in the ancestral property by birth. An adopted son got the same right to the ancestral property of his adopted father as his biological father. So, unless the said right of an adopted son is relinquished legally, he may exercise his right to claim a share in the ancestral property of his adopted father. Reach out to Advocate for guidance and steps.
