Verify the ownership records and historical documents related to the property through a title search. This will help ensure that the seller has the legal right to sell the property. Review the sale deed carefully to understand the terms and conditions, including the stated area of the property. Note any clauses related to the measurement of the property. Hire a licensed surveyor to measure the property accurately. The surveyor's report can serve as an official document outlining the correct dimensions of the property. Communicate with the seller regarding the discrepancy and present the surveyor's report. Discuss the matter and negotiate a fair resolution that reflects the accurate size of the property.
