What is the early procedure for divorce.. I havent informed this to husband but i want basic information for this procedure.
Its been 7 months for marriage.
A.Dear Client,
Divorce by mutual consent can be obtained within six months, but no petition in such a case can be filed within the first year of marriage. As per Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, after filing the first motion seeking divorce through mutual consent, the parties have to wait for a minimum of six months and a maximum of 18 months before moving the second motion. The court may waive the cooling-off period in exceptional circumstances based on the merit in the prayer of the parties.
