I bought the flat in 2018 and got the possession in 2019. I was not living there and i shifted there in 2023. Meanwhile i noticed the problem of seepage in my whole flat , i contacted my society manager many times but of no use . They don’t pay any attention and all the problems are inside the pipes they have fitted, i asked them for plumbing drawing , but they didn’t give me anything stating we have agreement of one year only

A.Dear Client,

In this situation, submit a written complaint to the Society's Secretary, requesting necessary action. If the complaint remains unresolved after waiting for a reasonable period, escalate the matter to the regulatory authority, such as the Registrar or Deputy Registrar of the Society. If the issue persists, further escalation to the Cooperative Court for relief is an option.

Moreover, file a complaint against the Society for deficiency in service (specifically, denial of service despite receiving service or maintenance charges) under Section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. This complaint can be lodged with the District Consumer Commission, seeking compensation for the harassment endured. If needed, consult with an Advocate for guidance and steps in the process.

A.Dear Client,
In the given scenario, you have to make a written complaint to the Secretary of the Society for necessary action and wait for a few days and if the complaint is not attended to or resolved, bring the matter to the notice of the regulatory authority i.e, the Registrar or Dy. Registrar of the Society failing which you may escalate your complaint before the Cooperative Court for relief. Additionally, you can file a complaint against the Society for deficiency in service (because receiving service or maintenance charges they denied the service) before the District Consumer Commission under Sec.35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 claiming compensation for harassment. Reach out to an Advocate, if required, for guidance and steps.
