Apartment maintenance issue Apartment maintenance issue

Dear sir, this is regarding a maintenance charges based on sft basis, there are 13 units, just bcoz my flat is bigger than all other 12 units they are demanding as per sft basis. I m staying on 3rd floor. Previously we paid equally as per number of flats. Inspite of lift, due to maintenance and repair the lift was not working for almost 20 yrs. But i kept paying the maintenance uptil date. Is this fair to charge as per sft now. Other than water , rest the lift, security and common lighting is common to all. Can I get a fair rationale on my issue.

A.Dear Sir
Your contention is fair and you are liable to pay equal maintenance as lift is not working. Just pay equal maintenance and avoid extra payment let them go to court for recovery.

A.Dear Client,
These kinds of irrational issues are common, especially among flat owners of a standalone apartment of 12/13 units of flat, and have been faceing by apartment owners across the country. In the absence of a registered Society, owners have no gateway to lodge their grievances. So, there is no other alternative to resolve issues in a standalone apartment other than adjustment and united efforts between the flat owners. You may all collectively represent your grievance before the District Administration for a resolution in the matter.
