FD as a security for bail
There is a court case regarding a security cheque being bounced for which we need to appear and in order to get the bail we were thinking of using FD as a security but Lawyer is saying only registry of a vehicle can be used as security in Patna. Is this the case?
A.Dear Sir,
Just follow the instructions of your lawyer because there are the masters of your Court procedures and each State there are different norms to accept security.

A.Dear Client,
Usually, a Property title deed or other proof of ownership of any other movable or immovable properties is required as security against a bail bond and subject to acceptance of the concerned Court. So, in the given situation, you need to adhere to the advice of your counsel/Advocate who is well aware of the standing practice followed in the respective Court to navigate the issue in the right way.

A.Dear Client,
Generally, FD can considered as a legitimate form of security for bail in cheque bounce case. However, in most of the cases it involves specific procedural requisites, wherein, the bank can ask you for property papers or documents of the vehicle for security amount. Further, the Court must approve the security so provided to grant the bail. So, in this case, it is advisable to take the assistance of your advocate, as they will be able to provide appropriate advice about the matter.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
