my husband died a couple of months back due to ill health. Now I wanted to transfer the flat in my name. will it attract any tax, duties etc. kindly clarify

A.there is nominal registration charges in such case which are required to be deposited with sub registrar office . contact lawyer for that else you can contact sub registrar office of your city where flat is situated. you need not to give hefty amount as fee for that. avoid giving bribe too.
