I have a joint account(either or survivor) with my mother's aunt. She died recently. There is money is savings account and 2 fixed deposits . I have applied properly for removal of my mother's aunt na

A. Yes you are right that there is no banking laws or rules which prohibits one of the joint account holder to access the account on death of another account holder. If the bank is not listening to you then you have these options;
1. Write a complaint letter to the banking Ombudsman
2. Send them a legal notice through a lawyer
3. File a consumer case against them.

A. Dear Client,

There is no legal provision for the same. However, to recover the amount you may file a legal notice. If you have a written agreement for the payment you can use it in your favour.

A. If the daughter doesn't give any stop payment direction to the concerned Bank, then the Bank may not insist you to submit the Succession Certificate but will disburse that FD amount to you as Nominee. Please take note that if the daughter gives objection against such disbursement,then to get the Succession Certificate is the only option and in such case mother, son and daughter have such right of inheritance.

A. Hi,
Asper the laws in India, any transactions that involve Crypto Currency are unregulated. However, this in no means mentions that it is illegal. Thus, the bank account cannot freeze your account citing this as a reason. You may speak to the branch manager/Zonal head regarding the same and show him the relevant media which mentions that it is not illegal.
If you like my answer, then please rate it.
