As per the facts which had been provided, if at the time of signing the property papers grandmother was not in a state of mind to understand the nature of consequences then she can be considered of unsound mind and the document can be considered void but the same has to be proved in the Court.

Prior to partition, that property was self acquired property of your grandfather so as per definition of ancestral property supported by Supreme Court reference, it was never an ancestral property prior to Partition and. therefore, your elder brother has no legal right to claim it as his ancestral.
