I have got married in 2016 and we have got a boy baby in 2017. Soon after, my wife got conceived, she went to her mom's home and kept asking me to relocate. Also, they are demanding me to fulfill a lot of their financial needs which I cannot afford. I've been waiting till now. But now they are approaching for a divorce with a settlement. But I want to lead my life..

A.you can afford settlement ?
more than 3 years living separately is good. You can file divorce for desertion also if mutual without alimony is not possible.
You have upper hand in your case.

A.Hi,
It is advisable to issue a legal notice under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act. Later on you can file a case for restitution of conjugal rights to force her to cohabit with you.
