Sale of land without consent of all heirs Sale of land without consent of all heirs

The land was inherited from my father's father. It is a 11 cent land. It is undivided till now. We are from Tamil Nadu. There are 7 legal heirs now. One of my brother has sold 6 cents in 2005 without our consent through power of attorney. We had family problem and we are unaware of the sale. Now buyers is in possession of the property. What can we do?

A.Hi,
It is advisable that all heirs must approach the court for cancellation of such a sale deed as other heirs did not have a knowledge about the sale.

A.Dear Client
As per your inputs the ancestral property shall be partitioned between all the legal heirs, as your brother sold some part which is illegal, send a legal notice to all your brothers then you can file a suit for partition
