Building redevelopment garage problem Building redevelopment garage problem

Our cooperative housing society is going under major redevelopment and repair. Members will pay 50% of the total cost. The building has some indoor garages that are shown on the BMC map as open parking spaces.

The committed has decided to charge the garage holders' share as per the added extra indoor garage space.

Is this legally allowed?
Is it compulsory for the garage members to pay the extra amount?

A.cooperative housing society only allowed the garage ?
the open parking space were coverted to garages.
garage holders have share ?
if you dont pay then you will get garage back after redevelopment ?

it is like you want to use electricity for free by stealing from poles and then saying that cutting wire is illegal.

Hope this clarifies,
