We own a residential flat at Ulwe, Navi Mumbai. The agreement is on the name of my mother, Elder brother and myself. My mother and I want to transfer that property on the name of my elder brother completely. So please suggest the easiest way to do the same. Also, let us know the estimate expenses for the same and can we do it through Gift Deed or Hakka Sod Patra?

A.Dear Client
As per your inputs you wish to transfer to your brother, then transfer through gift to your brother, the charges are 3% on the property value

A.Hi,
You can make the transfer through a gift deed and it would cost you legal fees depending on the practitioner and stamp duty as per govt website.

You can make the current transfer through gift deed and the rates for the same would be determined by stamp duty chargeable for navi mumbai for which you can refer to the govt. website. In addition to this legal fees for drafting and filing..
