Can Daughter claim Father's inherited property?
My Grandfather passed in 1976 and I was born on 1972. My grandfather leave no will and so the property of my grandfather distributed to their sons and daughters. So my father inherited some property due to that partition. Now my father wishes to give that entire ancestral / inherited property to my brother alone. Now my question is as a Daughter can I claim my share to that property against my Father's wishes? Can I ask for partition now? My Father and Mother both are alive.

A.U cannot claim any share in father's property. It will be deemed to be self acquired and not ancestral property. U will get a share only as per ur father's will or in case of no will as per schedule of Hindu succession act if u are a Hindu.

A.Dear Madam,
If that said property was self acquired property of your grandfather then you have no right during your fathers life time and your brother also cannot claim as of right. But if your father dies without a Will then you can claim Even otherwise you can claim after the death of your father. If you are unmarried then you can claim your lien over. Please discuss in person.
