Consequences of filing wrong details in affidavit for interim maintenance

My BIL has stated that he is jobless where as he is actually working in a high paying job in an MNC.
We know his company details.what can we do to prove that he is lying and what actions will court take when we prove that he lied in affidavit?

A.Hi,
You can file a complaint against him, Section 209 of the Indian Penal Code makes in a punishable offence to make false claims in a Court of law. An affidavit is a sworn statement of facts, he will be punished if it is found to contain lies.
Provide details of his actual employment as proof in your complaint to the police.
