A property is registered in the name of my deceased husband and his own brother (deceased). They have no other siblings they were two brothers one being my husband. I do not have any legal heir, my husbands brother when he was alive did not marry so has no wife and heir. Am I entitled to the whole property as there is no one left in the family except me. I am residing in this property since my Nikkah. I have been paying taxes and bills on time. I want to get this property registered in my name. Is that possible ? What is the procedure kindly explain?

A.If there is no heir are left in both of this two deceased person you are eligible to keep whole property. I don't know where are you living, if you are paying land tax before concerned authority with succession certificate if any or other documents which are demanding that authority in your name is sufficient to establish ownership. No need of registration.

A.Hi,
Under the Hindu law, a wife is entitled to an equal share of her husband’s proper property like other entitled heirs. If there are no sharers, she has full right to the entire property.

A.Hi,
Generally, only spouses, registered domestic partners, and blood relatives inherit under intestate succession laws. If the deceased person was married, the surviving spouse usually gets the largest share.
However, more information is required, so that we can advice you properly.
