My Father inherited my grand mothers house. Now he is planning to give the house only to my brother. Do i have legal rights to claim my equal part of the property.

A.Hi,
Yes, you can claim an equal share as your brother as it is ancestral property.
You can file a partition suit for the same.

A.Hai,
The property in dispute is an ancestral property inherited by your father from your grandmother. if the property acquired by your father is out of the proceeds from any ancestral property, all children have an equal share in it. In this case your father does not have the right to gift the said property to any one of his children and you have the legal right to raise objections.
