If it is an ancestral property than your uncle can surely claim his right over the property but if your grandmother had executed any will in favour of you all than he cant.

A.It will all depend on how property came in ur possession. If through court decree/ succession certificate, then your uncle has no right.

A.It is not necessary to claim ancestral property the right comes from birth. It is important to know that who was the actual owner of the property. Is there any relinquishment deed executed?
