I am a senior citizen sold my BDA plot and purchased a plot for my daughter nearby my residence in H S R L/O, Bangalore.I deposited long term capital gain amount in CG Scheme in SBI to get IT Exemption under sec 54/F.As per this section I am supposed to construct a house with in 3 years from the date of sale of plot. As CG amount is only 18 lakhs and my retirement savings deposited in FD in DHFL and Sri Guru Ragavendra sahakara bank is stuck due to irregularities -my married daughter is forced to apply for a home loan for house construction.Is it mandatory to transfer my plot in my name to my daughter's name to apply for home loan as well as for IT Exemption claim from her side.Will section 54F PERMITS this transfer thro a gift deed.Please advice
