My father under NIA ACT 138, get bail on the basis of settlement process.
Both are agree for settlement after that party agreed that you can give 2000 monthly which is fine for my financial condiation.
When my father approach him to give 2000 he told him on the phone that you should give the money to his known departmental store owner which is close to his house ...my father did what what he told ...
Second time it will happen again he I am not at house you should give the amount to same departmental store .this time my father get suspicious and refuse to give the amount ask him for meet he make excuses . And after that he did not call
This leads 10months now. But recently he defaming my father to one of my father's friend after that my call him why he told him we settled it soon you will regret. My father politely told him when I am giving you the monthly instalment their is no proof for me and you refuse to meet how can I go with it further .then he told him or he totally refuse to accept that he will not getting any money. After this conversations he is not picking up the from me ..what should I do I am a lower middle class family man.

A.Hi,
You can file a suit against them for defamation.
Also you are advised to can keep the receipts of the payment made by your father as proof. Since the party agreed to have this settlement, they cannot waive away from their responsibility.
