Role of police in land or property dispute. Role of police in land or property dispute.

I want consultation related to property dispute with my cousin (which is also our neighbours). Police is pressuring us to agree to what my cousin wants. Yesterday, police said that if I do not agree with their proposals then my cousin will go to court. He was also warning me that if this matter goes to court, I will face so many problems to which I said that No, I do not agree with their proposals and I am ready for their next move. I had put my final decision yesterday itself. But today that policeman called me in police chowki and started pressuring me to agree to my cousin proposal. Do police has rights to interfere in property or land dispute?

A.Report the matter to higher police authorities including home ministry and simultaneously file suit for permanent and mandatory injunction. Police does not have any power in such land dispute that is why police is asking you to agree to the terms of your cousin.
