Cheque bounce Cheque bounce

I have invested Rs 22.3 L in jeweler shop in Thane , But he is not giving the money back . At last he give me 2 Cheque of the same amount . But cheque is likely to get bounce due to shortage of fund in his account .
But Cheque are undated
If deposit get bounce what will be estimated fees of advocate and how much time and assurance of payment ?

A.you asked so many questions before investing ?

first deposit cheque and ask local lawyer immediately when it bounce.

A.Hi,
Deposit the cheque and see whether it is cleared not. The reason for non-clearance of cheque will determine whether a cheque bounce case exists or not. The fees of the lawyer varies depending on various factors. It takes 1-2 years to resolve dishonor of cheque cases judicially. You can also settle the issue much faster amicably.

A.Hi,
You have to actually wait and see whether the cheque bounces or not. Fees varies depending upon the geographical area and on the advocate himself. Usually it takes 1-2 years for a cheque bounce case to resolve judicially. You can try for amicable settlement to save time and money.
