Buying a Leasehold Flat in Kolkata Buying a Leasehold Flat in Kolkata

I am planning to buy a flat in Kolkata but it is a company leasehold flat for 99 years. Already 36 years over. It is an apartment of 30 flats. Now the company dissolved in 2008. What will happen then after 99 years when the lease ends?

A.Hi,
Since the company stands dissolved, the person who has the ownership of the flat will regain possession. You can approach to offer your proposal for buying the flat before he enters into a lease agreement again or sells it someone else.

A.Whosoever gave the flat on lease will either take the flat back on expiry of lease or will renew the flat for next term of 99 years or so depending on the condition of the flat.
