Stamp paper

I asked one of the lawyer to prepare a service agreement bond and he printed the contents on both sides of stamp paper. Is the stamp paper going to be valid or not?

A.Its a very interesting question and there can not be a direct answer and requires real wit and wisdom to answer these. Usually the back side of the stamp paper is used to mention the fact to who the stamp paper has been issued, the issue date, the vendor details etc and that's the reason the no body writes anything on that side except putting the signature of an advocate ( confirming/introducing party- while registration).
So, as per this tradition we should go by that the lawyer has committed a mistake.
Till February 2020 all the documents and agreements were being prepared on one side of the paper. Even while case filing the petition were made in that manner. But since Feb,2020 the Supreme Court has allowed filing of cases on A4 size paper on both side printed which made it easier for lot of people and saved lot of paper and environment too. With this logic I do not see that the lawyer has committed any mistake.
Now on Validity- There should not be any issue with the validity if it is printed on both the sides as it does not make it null and void since no where it is written specifically. And even if it is written since the Apex court is allowing now so it is ok.
