Should I register a house as commercial or residential? Should I register a house as commercial or residential?

Our family is buying a house with 2 floors. Ground floor has shutters for commerical purposes. My builder and friends said that I can register it initially as residential and later I can register it as commercial. Even I don't register it as commerical they said I would be fined. Is this true?

A.Dear Sir,
You may divide into two parts and ground floor may be registered as commercial and other floors may be registered as residential.

A.Dear Client
The nature of a building as residential or commercial is decided by the fact that how it was sanctioned or plan was approved. If the plan says commercial then you register as commercial and it says residential then you register as residential. For changing the nature of already built building you need to seek permission from the authorities.
