My husband filed null and voidable marriage petition against me. Actually he got my facebook chats before marriage where i proposed my friend. After marriage also he caught me redhanded while chatting with him. He took screenshot of that. Actually before marriage both of us used to work in gold shop. After marraige I stopped working. He also came to know that im meeting him frequently even after marriage along with my mother and sister. Now my husband filed petition alleging that i have cheated by concealing past affair. I stayed with my husband only for 1month.I got separated from my husband 1year ago.My friend married other girl 4months ago.I also started working since 4months.I also want divorce from my husband. My husband is not willing to give alimony.I hav appointed lawyer. It is in mediation stage. Can i claim alimony from my husband?will that proofs will be enough for him to avoid alimony?

As per the facts which have been provided, if your husband proves in the court that you were having an affair post marriage then your chances of getting alimony is quite less.

Hope this clarifies your query and requirement.

Thank you.

The alimony depends on various grounds and the court will take a 360 degree view before that. If your husband has filed a case for annulment of marriage in that case the chances of getting alimony is rare.
