Builder pushing for SBI Loans only Builder pushing for SBI Loans only

I have shortlisted a flat of 1143 sqft in Ramamurthy nagar, Bangalore 560016.

The builder is pushing for SBI Loan only with his reference (Specific branch).

I'm asking if I can go and apply myself with other banks. But he says don't, it'll take long time. I can get you in 2 or 3 weeks max.

Please let me know if its safe to take his route.
I can get the documents for verification only after paying 1L. I don't want to pay because I am not sure why he is insisting to take loan from only his end.

A.Dear Client,

You need not do anything which you're not absolutely sure about. If you are having doubts regarding purchasing the property then nobody can force you to do so, it is your own decision, and take it wisely.

A.Dear Sir,
If you got doubt you need not purchase the property from him. In many cases builder and Banker collude with each other and dupe the customers like you.

A.Dear Client
Many a times the builder pushes for a particular bank as his project would have been financed by that bank and it will need less of a process (legal wise) to get the loan approved. I am an ex SBI banker and I can tell you that usually there are no issues with Home loans with SBI.
