I partly contributed financially in buing a piece of land solely in my wife's name in Jammu some time back. Now it has been sold. Can I use the entire proceeds of that sale in byuing a new property solely in my name now. I am not clear about the tax implications in this case. Pls guide.

A.Dear Sir,
You have to consult chartered accountant to clear your doubt. As per my knowledge you can purchase new property with such proceeds within a certain time limit.
