Can an administration deny to mutate the name in their records for a leasehold property on the basis of registered will to outside member of the family of the deceased in wake of judgement of suraj lamp case which hd its judgment on 2011 but the will was registered and entered on 2000 . The gpa was also executed with the will and registered. The beneficiary is also ready to compensate for unearned profit to the administration.

A.Dear Client,

It is necessary to get the property mutated so as to bring the new owner on record of the land revenue department. The mutation has to be done even for leasehold properties. For freehold properties mutation is done by MCD while for leasehold properties it is done by DDA or L and DO office.
