Property Transfer to Son after Father's death
1 year ago
My father, my mother and my elder brother all have expired. My father has a property in his name. My father has not left any will. How can I transfer that property to my name.
A.If it an ancestral property, you have the complete right to claim over the property otherwise you can gain back the unclaimed property by filing an application with their state at no cost or for a nominal handling fee. Because the state keeps custody of the unclaimed property in perpetuity, you can claim their property at any time.
