Hi am Anil, I purchased the property recently wherein i was asked to 120000. 50.000 as share transfer amount and 70000 as development charge. what is development charge for? Society is going to charge me maintenance too. then what is development charge. should i pay to them? is that legal?

A.Development charge is a tax that is levied when planning permission is granted to carry out development projects that increase the value of the land, yes sir it is legal.
