A.Dear Client,
It is difficult to say anything with scanty information of one sentence.
The cases in India takes time.
Fist step you should take: Try to ascertain the present position of the case which includes try to know the reasons of delay and action taken so far.
Step Two: If you are not happy with the progress of the case including handling of the Case, you can change /disengage your Advocate. as per Order III Rule 4 of the Code of Civil Procedure,1908 and Section 303 of Criminal Procedure Code 1973.
Step Three: If you feel that you have been cheated by the Advocate ( which means he has taken money but has not done any work, or taken more money and less work etc.,) you can bring this to the Notice of State Bar Council where the she/he has Enrolled as an Advocate including the Bar Council of India.
When I am saying this, I am telling you to refrain from such accusations against Advocates.
If this is a genuine Case, please take appropriate action and go to the right forums to address your grievances.Have I made my points clear now?
