Ancestral land, daughters right
Hi, I would be grateful If any lawyer could answer my query. Thanks in advance.
What was the law between 2011-2013 in regards to daughters right in father's land & property. Father passed away in 1998. Mother -still alive. Father received in partition with his brother ancestral land & property around in 1980's.
-Do daughters have any right on the self acquired property of father?
-If brother & mother want to remove NRI sister/daughter's name (married) from ancestral land/property what procedures required to follow?
A.Dear Client
According to Hindi Succession Amendment Act, 2005, every daughter has equal right to property like her brother(s).
You can legally challenge the same as it is backed by law.
Hope it helps
