Property issue - Can I legally stay in a leased property
1 year ago
Can I legally stay in a leased property after the owner sold and the new owner forcing me to vacate?
A.Hello Client,
You must file a suit against the previous owner, from whom you have taken the property on lease as he can not sell the property without taking your consent.
Thanks & Regards

A.Dear Sir,
You have to get stay order from the Civil Court and continue your stay in the same house. The general rule is that the owner cannot sell the property unless take written consent of the lease holder or get vacate premises by paying of the lease holders amount.

A.Hi client,
You haven't specified about your rights in a leased property assuming that you are the tenant of the said property, suggesting you the same-
If you are the tenant, you must have an agreement with the previous owner, where terms and conditions determining the same are being mentioned.
You can pay the rent to the current owner by sending him a legal notice. If the current owner refuses to take the same, you can pay that rent to a rent controller or to the court.
Thanks and Regards

A.Depending upon the terms and conditions stated in the Lease Deed which was executed between you and the previous owner, it can be determined whether you can stay in that leased property or not.. but as per the law, you can stay since you have the exclusive right as a lessee unless and until anything is barred by law.
