Invalid cheque merger took place Invalid cheque merger took place

Sbp cheque deposited in oct 18 whereas merger took place in april17
and old cheques became invalid after 31st march 2018.
Account was closed in feb 17 , hence after merger, the account was not transferred.
However, the cheque was accepted for clearing and return memo shows account closed. Feel that return memo has been manipulated since ifsc code changed after merger( cheque deposited from other city)

A.Hello Client,
I understand the chronology of the situation but am confused as to what your question is. Can you kindly clarify the same? Thank you.

I feel that case on me should have been a civil suit instead of 138 since cheque was invalid. It's not a pdc cheque and the date when I am supposed to handover, I was out of country. The matter is with a nbfc who owns a bank. The return memo seems doubtful to me. How to challenge them and get the 138 converted to civil suit
