property dispute - I have the plot of 2000sq feet

hi everyone,
I have the plot of 2000sq feet and according to the layout there are two roads one north of my house and one the south of my house also in the north there is open space, I purchased his plot in 2012 yesterday I doing pooja of my plot to start construction the person who sold me this plot came and told me that we are planning to cancel the road and open space in a north direction so do not build a house in that direction. He is planning to make more plots in that road and open space area, so can he legally do that also can I fight this case or I should sell that plot and buy in different area

In the above situation if it was agreed beforehand that the road and the open space in the north would be a part of the property that you are buying then you can definitely fight a case as it would be infringement of your right, if not then provide more clear details to a local lawyer nearby and you can seek for help.
