I want to file for annulment

Hello sir, I have been married for 8 years. But I have been staying away from my husband for my studies. We have now been living together for 1 year. He is frequently sick and has health problems. I found out that he is sickle cell carrier. Doesn’t have disease but has genes for that. Sickle cell is genetic, incurable and passes on to next generation. I don’t want that gene to go down in my family. If I had known about the fact of this sickle cell carrier I would have never consented for the marriage in the first place. Am I eligible to annulment.
