My maternal grandmother had 20 kanals land in my village.he had 4 daughters ( one my mother who passed away.)and 1 son .in 2008 my maternal grandfather made a will in favor of my maternal aunt and in 2017 he passed away.in 2 018 I objected that will. thereafter my aunt and me did a compromise before the court of assistant collector 1st grade that *( after sanction the mutation on her name( my maternal aunt)she will transfer the 1/2 of land in favor of me)* now the revenue entries of land coming on name of my maternal aunt. and now she is refusing to transfer the land.sir what should I do now?
A.Hello Sir,
Class I legal heirs include sons, daughters, wife and the mother etc. If mother of your mother had passed away prior to death of your grandfather all the children of your grandfather will inherit the house in equal share immediately on his death. If your grandmother had died before your grandfather then your mother has rights on property. You can file a suit regarding this and can claim the land.
