Divorce - am a married woman with a male child
10 months ago
I am a married woman with a male child of 3 years for almost 6 years now. First of all this marriage was forced by my parents on me. Since my father used to emotionally blackmail me saying he will suicide if I don't marry i had no other choice than to agree hoping that I will somehow adjust and life will move on. But the family is a very Orthodox bharamin family and they dictate every aspect of life so much to the extent of what type of bhindi u should be wearing. It was always different my in-laws were abusive to each other. Brother in law loosing his temper and shouting at me while my husband just watched it.there was no romance no intimacy no emotional connection. Only responsibilities.Because he was getting old they forced the first baby even wen I asked for more time and that iam not ready yet.But now they are forcing a second child and i cant take it anymore. My husband is also not my type in any way. It's not a abusive relationship. It's just not working for me and it's taking a toll on my physical and mental health.i asked for a mutual divorce but he is not giving and challenging me saying let me see how you leave. Iam a dentist and i feel iam wasting my life living a prisoner life taking care of the baby and just doing household responsibility. How can I approach divorce and on what grounds can I apply. Please help and advice me on this.Thankyou
