Is my house is not mine Is my house is not mine

my grandfather has two sons, one of his son is my father. My father has two daughters, me and my sister. And my uncle ( brother of my father) has two sons. we all are live together in one house as two door numbers. But we pay home tax through my house number 3-39 since 2017. After that our home tax house number was changed by 3-82 ( my uncle's house number) . we couldn't notice that. After we find it we asked in our panchayat. But we don't get any information about it from them.
After few days my grandfather was died. After that we separated from my uncle (brother of my father) and build our own house. So we apply for our electricity metre, in that application they wrote 3-82 .(my uncle's house no). My mother has a huge doubt about our uncle's family. Is any scope to register our home from their name by changing our house number by there number

A.After the demise of your grandfather and if the property is left intestate by your grandfather, all the surviving legal heirs are entitled to equal share in the said property. House or Plot Number is allocated by the land deptt and the Municipality or the office of Tahashildar. An intestate property is distributed or divided among the legal heirs with an equal share through the order of partition suit. Until and unless the property is divided and recorded in the Land Deptt and Municipality, the House number is not changed in f/o individual owner of the property. As regards the reason behind the change of House number in favor of your uncle when your grandfather was alive, the information may be sought from the concerned authority/Deptt. making application under RTI Act. So reach out to an Advocate with all of the property papers for further guidance and steps.
